What a great weekend!

Danny Kolke, CEO of Etelos, and I had a great weekend in San Francisco at Pod Camp West. We met a lot of people and made many new friends and business colleagues. I personally enjoyed visiting with you and look forward to visiting more online until.

Etelos and I unveiled the new podcasting application called myPodcaster Pro. You can get a FREE trial of the application from the Etelos Store at store.etelos.com/podcast. You can learn more about this exciting podcasting solution at myPodcasterPro.com. This application, designed for the business side of podcasting or members of an organization, is a powerful new solution to leveraging podcasting as a tool in your organization or business. When you visit the demo site at myPodcasterPro.com, be sure to subscribe to the demo podcast to learn more about how you might benefit from this solution.

Danny and I had a lot of fun playing with the new application with his new podcast, and even recorded some funny videos. We installed the new app late Friday night, and within an hour, Danny had a podcast with audio and video. Check out his site at KolkeMusic.com and see just one possible way you can use myPodcaster Pro.

Some of my highlights included: Visiting with Robert Scoble, the Scoblizer; Robbie Trencheny from Teen Podcasters Network; Michael Geoghegan and Doug Kaye from Gigavox Media; Rob Safuto from Blubrry; Kris Smith from Croncast; Vic Podcaster from Hot From Silicon Valley; Joe Klein, the Podcast Voice Guys; Ben Heskett from Kiptronic; and Steve Sergeant from The WildeBeat, thanks for the audio tips and feedback Steve; just to name a few.

Etelos to launch myPodcasterPro at PodCamp West this weekend

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

New addition to the Etelos Store supports podcasting and enables Podcasters to manage their content

Renton, Wash. November 17, 2006 — Etelos announced today the release of another on-demand Application to the Etelos Store. “myPodcasterPro,” designed by Rob Gamble, podcasting Consultant and host of the myPodMentor podcast, delivers a podcasting solution for individual Podcasters, non-profit organizations or corporate businesses. The Application will debut November 18 during PodCamp West.

myPodcasterPro combines several individual programs or services into one easy to use open source, on-demand Web 2.0 solution. The Application includes a blog that allows users to seamlessly add media content while automatically writing to the Web site’s RSS Feed for distribution. The real benefit to Podcasters, and a powerful feature of an Etelos Ecosystem, is the added benefit of Customer Relation Management (CRM) and statistical tracking. Podcasters interested in CRM capabilities, surveys and demographics often rely on multiple programs. But the Etelos Application includes a robust CRM Application that allows Podcasters to communicate with their listeners or clients by email newsletters, include embedded media, capture listener surveys and feedback and track downloads.

Other features include options for a members-only site with a members’ forum and directory, e-commerce shopping cart, and an online product catalog. Podcasters with premium content now have the ability to sell their media content online. The shopping cart option can be used to charge monthly subscription rates, sell premium lectures, seminars, e-courses, or audio books and videos.

“The bottom line for Podcasters or anyone wanting to start a podcast is this,” Gamble said, “With the myPodcasterPro Application, you write an article for your blog, insert your media, and publish! Plus, the Application tracks how many subscribers and downloads you have. We have also added surveys, newsletters and an online shopping cart. What this means is that I can capture my audience demographics, communicate with my listeners and sell premium media content.”
